AMOS LPG GAS ALARM 12V Boat Alarm
LPG on Boats
LPG is dangerously explosive in a confined space which can be ignited by a naked flame (such as a pilot light), a spark (from electrical switch or engine) or even by a hot surface (engine exhaust manifold).
The unit should be sited at a low level (since propane gas is heavier than air).
For extra peace of mind we would also recommend that three alarms should be fitted to a boat with bottled gas: CO detector, LPG detector and smoke alarm (for smoke even better to have two units, one optical and one ionisation).
